The MAGPS-4000 Magnet Power Supply is a DC power supply specifically designed for Superconducting Magnets. The MAGPS-4000 is a programmable DC current source with an SCR phase controlled 12 pulse rectifier front end and a modular 100 amp MOSFET linear amplifier output stage using DCCT feedback, the linear amplifiers are stackable to provide up to 500 amps DC output current. Options provide an internal solid state output disconnect switch, a self-triggered crowbar and a variable level energy extraction circuit.
