The MAGPS-30K Bump Magnet Power Supply is a precision magnet power supply designed specifically for use in high-energy physics, research laboratory and medical applications.
The MAGPS-30K is a programmable DC current source featuring a 12 pulse SCR phase controlled rectifier front end and modular MOSFET linear amplifier output stages employing DCCT feedback.
The linear output stage, stackable to provide up to 600 amps DC output features extremely low noise and output ripple and provides ultra stable, precise output current setting.
Local and Remote controls allow choice of operating modes. Precise output pulse timing is controlled by internal oscillator or external timing signals.
An optional internal solid state output disconnect switch and triggerable voltage sensitive output crowbar are available.
This high precision, programmable linear power supply offers a number of features tailored specifically for powering magnet loads. It accepts 230VAC or 480VAC input power and supplies 30kW of output power, up to 600 amp peak output current. It is capable of providing pulsed or continuous DC output and operating in both local and remote modes of operation.
